It's the little things

Every time I fill out a form online I get frustrated. After typing in my city and choosing the state from a long pull down menu, it asks for my zip code. Why not just ask for the zip first and automatically populate the city and state info from that?

Right? I worked in a call center once where you put in the zip code first, and then everything else came up automatically.

Also it worked that way on the law school database when I worked in the FSU Law admissions office.

I's also a nice warning that people have accidentally or purposely given bad zip codes.

This happens in the UK; you put your postcode into forms and they can pin you down to within a few houses of you. Scary, but cool.
