It's all the same

I'm fed up with the "official English" crap.

"We are trying to make an assimilation statement," said Sen. Lindsey
Graham, R-South Carolina, one of two dozen senators who voted Thursday for both
English proposals.

Yeah, right. We are making a xenophobic statement.

Why is it so important that Americans speak English? Would our constitution and bill of rights be any different if written in Swedish? Would we be different people if we spoke Italian?
